About Us

Junbi Now is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization focused on the development and enrichment of TaeKwon-Do.  It is our belief that excellence should be rewarded and one of our goals is to support students of traditional TaeKwon-Do dedicated to achieving the highest level of their ability.  Of all the tenets of TaeKwon-Do, we embrace the final tenet, to create a more peaceful world.  To that end, the students we support reach out to their community providing self defense seminars to both men and women.  Also, our students go into the schools to provide classes in stranger danger awareness and how to suppress acts of bullying.

It is our pleasure to be organizing the 2012 ITF US Qualifying Tournament in Houston, Texas the weekend of March 16-18, 2012.  It is during this tournament that students from across the United States will earn their position on the US Team and travel to Ottawa, Canada for the ITF World Competition.  To inspire Gup level students (color belts), we will host an open tournament, so the next generation of world competitors can experience the skill and intensity of a national competition.

On this same weekend, we will host a Master’s Seminar lead by Grand Master Choi, son of the founder of TaeKwon-Do and President of the International TaeKwon-Do Federation (ITF).  This is a unique opportunity to train with the highest level of expertise this sport has to offer.

Please take a moment to explore our links and discover who we are and why we believe that the way of the hand and foot is the way to build a more peaceful world.
