Who We Are
As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to bring peace and confidence to our community by promoting the tenets of TaeKwon Do through training and education. Our goal is to provide self-defense seminars for members of the community to improve situational-awareness and protection, for pre-school children to teach stranger danger awareness, for elementary and secondary school students to teach alternative behavior in response to aggression and hostility in the schools.
The purposes for which this corporation, a nonprofit charitable organization, is formed are:
- To provide students of TaeKwon-Do (“TKD”) with opportunities to use their training in the mental and physical discipline of TaeKwon-Do.
- To enhance the authority and value of TaeKwon-Do through instruction, testing, competition and charity, both nationally and internationally.
- To promote and encourage physical, moral, and cultural education. To create national and international respect and goodwill. To help build a better and more peaceful world. To follow democratic principles.
- To engage in any other lawful activity which may hereafter be authorized from time to time by the Board of Directors; provided, however, that the purposes for which the corporation is formed shall at all times be consistent with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as it now exists or as hereafter amended (the “Code”), including within such purposes the making of distributions.
