Destruction Donations

For TaeKwon-Do students, breaking actual pine boards is both necessary and, admit it, fun. It’s also invaluable experience before your testing date arrives. Plastic boards can give you some practice, but they just don’t substitute for the real thing.
Here’s the problem. While we can all go to the home improvement store, whip out our credit card, and buy a bunch of long pine boards, there are still a few hurdles to overcome. For example:
- Not everyone has a longbed truck or ginormous SUV for transporting the boards home – and we all know that getting charged $1 per cut at the store to fit them into your car is a bit painful.
- Even if you have the vehicle, it’s not the most convenient thing to have to load it up, drive it home, and unload the payload into your garage. After all, who cuts boards the same day they buy them??
- To be honest, even fewer people have the experience or equipment needed to safely and easily cut the boards into 10″ lengths…
- Do I need to mention the Houston heat?
- And finally, then you have to box up all the cut boards to get them to the dojang.
Whew. I’m tired just thinking about all that.
Junbi Now can help you with all of this! With the help of our volunteers, we have boxes of pre-cut boards already sitting at the Global TaeKwon-Do dojang awaiting destruction. What could be more convenient?
Each box contains 20 boards and sells for $50. You can leave a check made payable to Junbi Now with Master Howard or give it to any of the board members for delivery. If the stockpile runs low, send us a quick email to order yours.
